Eid ul-Fitr is a Muslim holiday celebrated when Ramadan is finished. Muslims do not fast on Eid ul-Fitr as it is not allowed. When the new moon is seen after month of Ramadan, the next day is Eid ul-Fitr. After the Eid Prayer, the Muslim greet each other.
Anas bin Maalik (radi Allahu anhu) said: “The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) came to Madinah and the people had two days when they would play and have fun. He said, ‘What are these two days?’ They said, ‘We used to play and have fun on these days during the Jaahiliyyah(Days of Ignorance). The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘Allah has given you something better than them, the day of (Eid)Adhaa and the day of (Eid) Fitr.’
Lets resolve to follow the path shown by Prophet Muhammad and celebrate with joy, Happy Eid.
Eid ul fitr lasts up to three days.During these days people receives and gives gifts to each others.on the first day,they offer their Eid prayer and then they greet each other.They cook different kinds of foods.And there is a lot of big things about this Islamic Eid.
